Excel One Touch Series

Motorised cabinet lift systems for Singapore kitchens and wardrobes

The Concept

The high shelf you
finally use

Singapore ceilings are generous and Singapore kitchens are not. The practical consequence is a top cabinet used twice a year, because reaching it means finding a stool. The Excel One Touch Series is a range of motorised cabinet systems that solves this the other way round: instead of you reaching up, the cabinet's contents come down to you. One touch starts a powered cycle of roughly eight seconds. There is no handle to pull and nothing to climb on.

The Experience

Every detail,
engineered
to disappear

A One Touch unit is judged on the things you never notice: that it starts on the first touch, that it stops where it should, and that it is quiet enough to use at night without waking the flat.

  • Touch-Activated OperationA sensor starts an eight-second powered cycle. No handle, no pull, no stool.
  • 45 dB Or BelowQuiet enough to run in an open-plan flat without carrying into the next room.
  • AI Obstruction SensingThe mechanism halts the instant it meets resistance, then holds position.
  • Tested To 30,000 CyclesRoughly a decade of daily use, backed by a 10-year motor warranty.

Why One Touch

Built to a standard you can feel

Precision
Engineering

Calibrated so the mechanism stops where it is told to, cycle after cycle — tested to 30,000 of them.

Silent
Motion

45 dB or below, with soft-close damping at the end of travel. Quiet enough for an open-plan flat at night.

Durability
Tested

Aerospace aluminium alloy construction with a 10-year motor warranty. Built for decades, not seasons.

Premium
Materials

Matte-finish aluminium alloy, tempered glass and Italian-lacquered components. A standard felt before it is seen.

The Collection

Seven systems.
One philosophy.

Each system in the One Touch Series is named in Italian — a language that has always understood beauty as inseparable from function.

Five of the seven systems work in the kitchen. The Nasconda is a wall cabinet lift rack: it brings the contents of an overhead cabinet down through 550 mm of travel and returns them. The Vaseria does the same job for a loaded dish rack, on twin motors with a 4000K rear LED. The Podio works in the opposite direction, raising an appliance up out of a base cabinet to worktop height on a platform with a live 220V socket already on it — which is what makes it usable for a stand mixer rather than merely a way to store one.

The Strato handles deep double-layer cabinets with twin motors and a two-position stop, so the upper tier can be reached without cycling the whole unit to the bottom. The Velario is the door itself: a touch-activated tempered glass cabinet door lift, for the run of cabinets you open most and want to open with a full hand.

Two systems work in the bedroom. The Sospeso is a motorised cloud wardrobe hanging rail that descends to chest height and returns, which turns the top rail of a tall Singapore wardrobe from seasonal storage into everyday storage. The Riflesso is a concealed vanity mirror that rises 490 mm out of a dresser top inside a 4000K LED surround, then disappears flush again.

What the seven have in common is a mains supply. Every unit needs power run into the carcass and every unit has a minimum internal dimension, which makes these carpentry-stage decisions, not retrofits. The full range, including finishes not shown here, is in the One Touch Series collection; the matte black variants also appear in the Matte Black Collection.

How To Specify

Three decisions made at carpentry stage.

Almost every problem people have with a motorised cabinet system is decided before the unit is ever ordered. None of them are difficult; they are simply easy to leave until it is too late to change them.

1. Run the power before the carcass is closed

Every unit in the One Touch Series is mains powered. That supply has to be run into the cabinet, and on the Nasconda it has to pass through a threading hole in the back panel. Once the carcass is built, faced and installed, adding that supply usually means taking the cabinet apart again. Decide where the One Touch units are going at the same time you decide where the sockets are going, and give the drawings to your carpenter and your electrician together.

2. Match the system to the cabinet you actually have

Each unit has a minimum internal dimension, and they are not the same. The Nasconda is built for 800 and 900 mm cabinet widths. The Podio needs a cabinet height of 780 mm or more. The Vaseria and Strato both need a depth of 312 mm or more. A standard HDB overhead run will often take a Nasconda without alteration; a shallow condominium galley cabinet frequently will not take a Vaseria. Measure the internal carcass, not the door.

3. Specify the load with headroom, not at the limit

The Nasconda, Vaseria, Podio and Strato are each rated to 20 kg. In practice that covers a full family set of dinner plates on the Vaseria, or a heavy stand mixer on the Podio. It is still a ceiling rather than a target. A unit habitually loaded to its rating wears faster than one loaded to two-thirds of it, and the difference in daily life is one shelf of crockery. Where a load rating is not published — the Velario, Sospeso and Riflesso — ask before you commit rather than assuming the 20 kg figure carries across.

If you would rather not work this out yourself, send the cabinet drawings to sales@excelhw.com.sg and Excel will specify against them.

For The Trade

Motorised hardware for Singapore renovation projects.

Excel Hardware has manufactured and distributed cabinet hardware from Singapore since 1998, supplying interior design firms, renovation contractors and carpentry workshops alongside direct retail customers. Motorised units are the part of a specification most likely to go wrong late, because they are the only hardware on the job that needs the electrician and the carpenter to agree with each other.

Specifying the One Touch Series from one range removes most of that risk: the carcass requirements are published per model, the finishes match across the range, and lines are held in Singapore rather than indented, which matters when a client has already signed off a scheme. Specification sheets, installation manuals and test reports are published on each product page for submission to clients and main contractors.

Trade accounts, project pricing and specification support are available through the Excel Hardware contact page. The full motorised range is in the One Touch Series collection, and the black-finish variants also sit in the Matte Black Collection.

Questions

One Touch, answered.

What is the Excel One Touch Series?

It is Excel's range of motorised cabinet systems. A touch sensor triggers a powered cycle of roughly eight seconds that moves the cabinet's contents to you, with no handle to pull. The range covers seven systems: the Nasconda lift rack, the Vaseria dish rack lift, the Podio base cabinet platform, the Strato double-layer lift and the Velario door lift for the kitchen, plus the Sospeso wardrobe hanging rail and the Riflesso rising vanity mirror for the bedroom.

Can a One Touch system be retrofitted into an existing kitchen?

Usually not without rebuilding the cabinet. Each unit needs a mains supply run into the carcass and has minimum internal dimensions — the Nasconda is built for 800 and 900 mm cabinet widths and needs a power threading hole in the back panel, the Podio a height of 780 mm or more, and the Vaseria and Strato a depth of 312 mm or more. Specify One Touch units before the cabinets are built, not after.

How much weight can a One Touch system carry?

The Nasconda, Vaseria, Podio and Strato are each rated to 20 kg. In practice that covers a full family set of dinner plates on the Vaseria or a heavy stand mixer on the Podio. Specify with headroom rather than at the limit. Load ratings for the Velario, Sospeso and Riflesso are confirmed on their individual product pages.

How loud is a One Touch cabinet lift?

45 dB or below across the range, which is roughly the level of a quiet library or a fridge running in the next room. In an open-plan HDB or condominium layout, where the kitchen is effectively in the living room, this is the difference between a unit you use freely in the evening and one you avoid after the children are asleep.

What happens if something is in the way when it closes?

Every unit carries AI obstruction sensing. The mechanism halts the instant it meets resistance rather than continuing to drive against it, so a hand, a cabinet door left open or a pot left standing on the platform stops the cycle instead of being crushed by it.

Which One Touch system suits an HDB kitchen?

For a standard overhead run, the Nasconda — it is built for 800 and 900 mm cabinet widths, which covers most HDB wall cabinets, and 550 mm of travel brings the top shelf to reach height. If the overhead cabinet sits above the sink, the Vaseria does the same job for a dish rack. For the base cabinets, the Podio raises an appliance to worktop height with a live socket on the platform. Condominium galley kitchens are more often depth-limited than width-limited, so check the 312 mm depth requirement before specifying a Vaseria or Strato.

Do the wardrobe units need a different power supply?

No — the Sospeso hanging rail and the Riflesso mirror lift have the same requirement as the kitchen units: a mains supply run into the carcass. The practical difference is that bedroom joinery is less likely to have power near it by default, so it is worth raising with the electrician early. The Riflesso also rises 490 mm out of the dresser top, so allow the clearance above it.

Do you supply interior designers and renovation contractors?

Yes. Excel Hardware has supplied Singapore's interior design, renovation and carpentry trade since 1998 alongside direct retail customers. Trade accounts, project pricing and specification support are available. Lines are held in Singapore rather than indented, and specification sheets, installation manuals and test reports are published on each product page.
