The lowest formaldehyde plywood in the market.
0.013 PPM — behind every wall of carpentry in your home, chosen for what it doesn’t release.
DO YOU KNOW ?
The sharp smell from new plywood is formaldehyde gas, leaking from its adhesives. Inhalation causes immediate eye, nose, and throat irritation.
Long-term exposure can lead to serious respiratory conditions and cancers, including leukemia.
Formaldehyde
A carcinogen classified by the IARC, it poses serious health risks from plywood furniture.
Long-term exposure is linked to cancers, including leukemia and nasopharyngeal cancer, as well as chronic respiratory problems like asthma.
Common plywood often emits formaldehyde at levels 5–10 times above WHO standards.
It is essential to choose certified low-emission plywood. Emissions under 0.08 ppm significantly reduce indoor air pollution and long-term risk.

Ecoply, the near-zero emission plywood that protects your family from the dangers of formaldehyde.
Certified to have zero emissions, with formaldehyde as low as 0.013 PPM on Ecoply PRO — way below the safe human threshold of 0.5 mg/L.
On project completion your indoor air will meet the formaldehyde limit of 0.08 ppm set by Singapore Standard SS554:2016 + A1:2021.
3× reimbursement on the carpentry works if an authorised lab test puts formaldehyde above 0.05 ppm — up to SGD $30,000.00, against the Singapore IAQ Standard.
Discover Ecoply “PRO” plywood, with the lowest formaldehyde emissionin the market
With only 0.013 PPM. Certified 4 ticks emission.
High screw withdrawal range, higher density and weight for enhanced durability.
Extreme bending strength of 3390 ensures longevity.
Newly formulated low formaldehyde glue with extremely low formaldehyde emission.
Formaldehyde comparison
Ecoply leads the industry with the lowest formaldehyde emissions of only 0.03 ppm.
Ecoply PRO sets a new standard, with formaldehyde levels of 0.013 ppm and 9-layer durability — the safest plywood in Singapore.
Both Ecoply products sit well below Singapore’s Indoor Air Quality Standard of < 0.08 ppm, ensuring cleaner, healthier indoor air.
Most plywoods in the market emit formaldehyde of up to 0.78 ppm, exceeding safety limits and posing health risks.

What people ask about low-formaldehyde plywood
What is the formaldehyde level of Ecoply plywood?
Ecoply emits 0.03 ppm and Ecoply PRO 0.013 ppm. Both sit well under the 0.08 ppm indoor air limit set by Singapore Standard SS554:2016 + A1:2021, and far under the 0.78 ppm typical of normal plywood.
What is the difference between Ecoply and Ecoply PRO?
Ecoply is a 5-layer board at 0.03 ppm. Ecoply PRO is 9 layers (7 + 2) at 0.013 ppm, with higher density (474 vs 339 kg/m³), higher elasticity (3390 vs 2190) and stronger screw withdrawal (1260/1140 vs 810/690 face/edge).
Is Ecoply suitable for HDB and condominium renovation in Singapore?
Yes. It comes in standard 4' x 8' sheets from 3mm to 18mm block board, so your carpenter works to the same cut list as always. Nothing about the build changes — only what it is built out of.
Why does formaldehyde in plywood matter?
Formaldehyde is a carcinogen classified by the IARC. It off-gasses from the adhesives in ordinary plywood, and a sealed, air-conditioned flat has almost no air exchange, so it stays in the room. Long-term exposure is linked to respiratory problems and to cancers including leukemia.
Is Ecoply certified, and by whom?
Ecoply is tested and certified by SGS Singapore against the World Health Organisation's emission standards and is rated 4 ticks, the top of the scale. FRIM and Axiom assessments sit behind it, and it meets Singapore Standard SS554:2016 + A1:2021.
What does the 3× money-back guarantee cover?
If an authorised lab test puts formaldehyde above 0.05 ppm on project completion, Ecoply reimburses three times the cost of the carpentry works, up to SGD $30,000, measured against the Singapore indoor air quality standard.
What thicknesses and finishes does Ecoply come in?
Plain sheets in 3mm, 5mm, 9mm and 15mm, plus 18mm block board. Flexible sheets in 5mm and 8mm for curved work. Pre-faced options in 8010, 8663 and 9919, one side or two, with matching 50mm edging tape.
How does Ecoply compare with E0 and E1 plywood?
E0 and E1 boards are commonly used in carpentry and emit upwards of 0.19 ppm — over twice the Singapore indoor air limit. Ecoply is 0.03 ppm and Ecoply PRO 0.013 ppm, so both sit an order of magnitude below.
